Research context

CJC-1295 with DAC (Drug Affinity Complex) is a synthetic GHRH analog based on the Modified GRF (1-29) sequence extended with an N-epsilon-maleimidopropionyl-lysine group capable of covalently binding circulating albumin. In vitro and in animal models it targets the GHRH receptor, a class B G-protein-coupled receptor, with the albumin-binding moiety reported to extend the molecule’s circulating half-life.

Studies in rodent models and isolated cell systems have characterized its receptor binding, cAMP-dependent downstream signaling, and its bioconjugation to serum albumin. Identity and purity have been assessed analytically via reversed-phase HPLC and mass spectrometry.
